Hincapie, who joined Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen, has fully recovered from his pre-season training with the Bundesliga club.
Arteta expressed his satisfaction with Hincapie's experience and versatility, saying: "He's a player we've been monitoring for years, and he became available when we needed a replacement for Jakub Kiwior. We wanted a player who could improve our team's defensive capabilities and play in different formations."
Arteta also praised Hincapie's experience, commenting: "He's a player who has a lot of experience already at his age, so we're very happy to have him on board."
Despite only training with Arsenal for two days, Arteta believes Hincapie is ready to make his debut, saying: "He's available and ready to go. He's had a long trip with his national team, but he's come back in good shape after a successful game against Argentina."
