Liverpool's Academy chief, Alex Inglethorpe, is pleased to have Wiles on board. He believes Wiles has the right experience and skills to help young players develop and reach their full potential.
Wiles has worked with players of different ages at Fleetwood and Blackpool, and has experience coaching in a top-level academy at Manchester United. He has also worked in senior football at Salford.
As the lead coach for the Under 18s, Wiles will work closely with the new head coach of the Under 21s, Rob Page. Anthony Ryan will continue to assist Wiles, who recently moved from coaching the Under 15s.
The team at the Liverpool Academy is excited to have Wiles on board and looks forward to working with him to develop players who can play at the highest level.
