Gibbs-White scored the first goal, and the victory marked the debut of manager Sean Dyche.

Gibbs-White stated, “It’s an incredible feeling, something that we’ve missed. It’s been a challenging period, but we needed to look at ourselves, take responsibility, and tonight I think we made progress.

"The new manager has instilled a mindset to defend effectively and not give up easy chances.

"The team played well, defending solidly and making it difficult for Porto to break through.

"Going forward, we could have done better, but this is a good starting point, and we will build on it.

"I was pleased to score the opening goal, and after that, the team's confidence grew, and we felt we could secure the win.
