Rashford had a difficult time under United's previous manager Erik ten Hag, but he had a more positive experience playing under Solskjaer from 2018 to 2021. During this period, Rashford played 135 games for United, more than under any other manager, and scored 55 goals and provided 36 assists.

Rashford praised Solskjaer as a "fantastic person" and said he enjoyed playing for him. He also credited Solskjaer with helping United play good football during his tenure.

Rashford will have another opportunity to showcase his skills when Barcelona faces Elche in La Liga on Sunday.
