When asked if Haaland is on the same level as legendary scorers Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Guardiola responded by highlighting Haaland's impressive numbers. "Did you see the numbers of that guy? Oh my God, of course," he said, noting that Haaland has been playing for a shorter period than both Messi and Ronaldo.
Guardiola praised Haaland not just for his goals but also for his attitude and willingness to learn. "I'm tough sometimes with him. I say to do this and that better, and always he tries to be open-minded, there are players who are like 'What are you talking about?' but he's completely down to earth," Guardiola said.
Haaland's presence makes a significant difference in games, and Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola acknowledged this. "It's very difficult (to play against him)," Iraola said. "He's amazing. When you press higher and concede space at the back, he is super fast."
Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks agreed that Haaland is a significant threat. "The big man up top for them - Haaland - is always going to be a threat," Brooks said. "It's almost impossible (to prepare to face him). He's six foot five inches, strong, a massive threat when the ball is falling to him."
Haaland took his chances well and scored two goals in the game.
